Our Instructors
Coach Madison Garland
Coach Madison is the founder and a nationally recognized pitching coach at RTH. A lifelong student of the game, she is committed to constant learning and growth—both for herself and the athletes she trains.
In high school, Madison was a standout player, earning All-Conference and All-County honors all four years. She was named Carroll County Times Player of the Year in 2014 and 2015, Baltimore Sun’s All-Metro Player of the Year in 2015, and later honored as the Carroll County Times Softball Player of the Decade in 2020—all while leading her team to back-to-back state championships.
Her playing career continued at the Division I level with Hofstra University, where she competed at the highest stage of collegiate softball. Off the field, Madison has invested in her coaching expertise, holding Motor Preference Level I & II certifications as well as Foster Fastpitch certification.
Currently, she also serves as a coach for Team USA’s Central-Atlantic Region 14U team, where she guided her athletes to a silver medal finish at the 2025 All-American Games. With her proven experience, advanced certifications, and passion for the game, Madison knows what it takes to bring out the very best in athletes—on and off the field.
Coach Emily Kepple
Former DI student-athlete and current professional softball player, Coach Emily is the catching and hitting coach at RTH. A native of Dayton, Ohio, Emily was a three-sport athlete in high school. She earned All-Conference and All-State honors, was named GWOC Softball Player of the Year (2016), and Most Outstanding Female Athlete upon graduation (2018).
Emily was an impact player and starting catcher throughout her entire Division I collegiate career. She earned her B.S. in Biology and M.S. in Sport Administration from Hampton University. During this time, she mentored young athletes and worked to build a culture giving softball players the voice and attention they deserve. After college, Emily earned a spot on the US Virgin Islands National Team. She now lives her dream, travelling the globe to compete against the top teams in the world.
Emily is dedicated to developing young athletes into confident, well-rounded leaders on and off the field. Her love for the game drives her to inspire the next generation, helping players reach their fullest potential. Committed to her own growth, Emily continually advances her knowledge and expertise. She is Blast Motion Certified and Motor Preference Certified, bringing advanced expertise to every athlete she trains
